#2 Georgia Tech Wins Sloppy Game Over VT

#2 Georgia Tech Survives #6 Virginia Tech.....#20 FSU Slams Boston College 34-12......Army's Denard Robinson struggles as 0-2 Army Meets Northwestern....Michigan's tate Forcier done For The Season?

Atlanta, GA- The defending National Champion's have a problem. They do not know who to play at Quarterback. They tried something different today and almost cost the team the season.

Coach Millhimes used sophmore Jordan Luallen at Quarterback and he threw 2 tocuhdowns and a team record 5 interceptions despite all that, Georgia Tech won the game 35-21. Luallen threw for 178 yards on 11-26 passing. "He was all over the place and tghe only thing that saved him was his feet" said Millhimes

Luallen had 144 yards rushing on 14 carries. He was the speedster that Coach Millhimes wants but has no accuracy as he over threw 4 passes in the game that Nesbitt would have connected with.

A brite spot was FB Richard Watson who ran for 102 yards and 2 total touchdowns. He ran for 1 and caught a 2 yard pass from Luallen. Roddy Jones had 41 yards rushing to add to the total.

The game was scorless after one and Georgia Tech put on a nice show in the second quarter. Watson took it in from 1 yard out on the first play of the Second quarter to make it 7-0. Next time dow, Watson added a 3 yard touchdown catch to make it 14-0. Then, the fans really erupted. All American Julian Burnett stripped Tech's Ryan Williams of the ball and DE Emmanuel Dieke picked it up and ran it back 41 yards to make it 21-0 Georgia Tech at the half.

Tech made it 28-0 in the Third when Luallen did a Play Action pass to Wideout Shaun Hill for a big 53 yard touchdown catch and run to take them to the Fourth.

The Fourth quarter is where things got messy. Luallen threw 3 picks in the quarter setting up 3 touchdowns by Virginia Tech. Sophomore Lance Richardson saved the day with a 42 yard interception return for a touchdown to give GT the win.

Georgia Tech next will visit the 12th ranked Sooners in Oklahoma.

COACHES THOUGHTS:
I basically want to start out by saying I can't imagine how we pulled that game out this week. Luallen is young but made very critical errors. I was thinking we were watching a Houston Texan meltdown. If we dont get more solid play from our Quarterback position, we will be eaten alive in the next few weeks. I mean, Oklahoma, NC State, and Alabama are our next three opponents. Not the best way to start the season but we are National Champions.
