#14 Georgia Tech Upset In Miami

Big 4th down conversion and last second TD do in Tech

Miami FL- Coach Millhimes could not really utter the proper words last night. Perhaps, its because he was still shocked by what he saw with 1 minute left in the 4th. Millhimes watched as Jacory Harris would lead the Hurricanes down the field in the final minute and hit a key 4th and 10 with alittle under 30 seconds left. It got worse as the drive continued until Craig Cooper scored his 3rd touchdown of the day with 16 seconds left and the Hurricanes defeated the #14 Yellow Jackets 35-31 in Miami.

" This one hurt" said Josh Nesbitt who was 6-8 for 94 yards passing and also had 58 yards rushing. Jonathan Dwyer had 3 touchdowns and 78 yards rushing. As a team, Tech beat Miami in rushing 258-179. In the end, it was the one field goal GT kicked that was the difference.

Both GT and Miami matched each other score for score through three quarters until GT hit a 25 yard field goal to make it 24-21 early in the 4th. Miami went right down the field afterwards with a 10 touchdown pass from Harris to Byrd to make it 28-24. Tech responded with its own impressive drive. On a 3rd and 3, Nesbitt hit Jones on an option play. Jones broke free for a big 54 yard run down to the Hurricanes 9 yard line with 1:46 left. Tech would hit the endzone when Dwyer would take it in from 7 yards out with 1:10 left to make it 31-28. That was way to much time for Miami.

"We have to move on from this" says Millhimes. "We still have North Carolina, Virginia Tech, FSU, and Georgia waiting." All is not lost yet in the ACC Coastal, however they did make it alittle more tougher for the team to clinch with such a tough schedule.
