GT Stuns #16 Virginia Tech

Atlanta GA- The losing streak is over. That's what the Top Story looked like on the school newspaper this morning. Everyone especially coach Millhimes is cheerful after the Yellow Jackets upset #16 Virginia Tech 14-10 lsdt night to stop the three game losing streak.

"We needed this win for ourselves" said Josh Nesbitt. Nesbitt had 45 yards rushing and 122 through the air to help the cause.

The big thanks goes to the GT defense. Morgan and company held VT to just 10 points and 225 total offensive yards. VT only had 70 yards passing. Taylor finished 10-20 for 74 yards. He was harrassed all day long by constant blitz schemes.

Georgia fell behind early 3-0 after one and had the ball on VT's 3 yard line on a 3rd and goal. Nesbitt kept the option ball and was stripped from behind. VT recovered and it was a spoiled chance. GT also missed a field goal just before halftime. VT would lead 3-0 at halftime.

It stayed that way until late in the 3rd when Marcus Wright took a handoff up the gut for a 9 yard touchdown run to give GT a 7-3 lead. Virginia Tech struck right back when Williams went 46 yards on a pitchout to make it 10-7 with 4 minutes left. Georgia Tech kept there poise and marched down the field with 15 plays and 73 yards of field to cover. It was capped with a 6 yard Brad Sellers touchdown run to give Georgia the lead with 2:15 left.

Gerogia Tech came up big next VT drive when they Sacked Taylor on consecutive plays and then forced a big overthrow. On 4th and 20 with 30 seconds left, Taylor was hit while throwing causing the ball to go up and come down at the line of scrimage and secure the GT win!
